I really lucked out!!

This Saurday these are the words I heard come out of Eric's mouth..."I really like cleaning!!" I really heard him say that:) We were cleaning our apt on Saturday and he had a smile on his face and said that to me!!

He is also an AMAZING cook and LOVES to cook. When he cooks he really looks like this man..He gets all dressed up, gets all of his ingredients out and goes to town!!
WOW!! I really did luck out!! Eric LOVES to clean and LOVES to cook. You don't hear very many men saying that!! It is nice to have such a happy husband that loves to help out and work as a team!! I am one lucky girl!!:)

SCOTLAND!!!

Eric and I just got back from the Terris stomping grounds! SCOTLAND!! We had our four day weekend off of work and thought what better place than Scotland. We went to Edinburgh and Glasgow. My cute dad put together some family stuff and sights to see and it made this trip so meaningful. We also did this new thing called couchsurfing...It is a website where you ask people if you can stay at their place for FREE...Seriously..random people...in random countries..let you stay at their place for FREE!! It was such a wonderful trip and we loved every minute.

One of our couchsurfers, Vincent(French)
One of his flatmates..Aurelie(French)
They were so amazing and fun to be around. They gave us a mini tour, got us a map, took us to a pub, and let us stay in their place on the couch!
Edingburgh Castle!!
HUGE, Beautiful Castle!

Eric the Scotsman
St. Giles Cathedral
Erics new love...Adam Smith..The man with the "invisible hand":) haha
Cute huh?? They really do work to!!
Doing the Scotsman!!

The speed limit is 30...but 20 is plenty:)
So cool..By our couchsurfers in Glasgow was my Grandma Terris' best friend and it still has her name there Erskine..We rang and no one answered:( But I wonder if she is still alive and lives there still or her kids??
The Barras Market..Was cool back in the day haha..My grandparents would go all the time and loved it..But now it is REALLY run down but still cool to see!!
Fish and Ships! We were supposed to get them in newspaper like my grandparents did..but they said they don't do that anymore because they were scared that the ink was getting in the food haha but they were so good!!
Our couchsurfers in Glasgow. Gerard and Maeve! They were amazing. They took us to cool place, cooked us dinner, let us chill at our house and drove us to ALL of our family sites...we seriously could not have done it without them!! WE LOVE COUCHSURFING!!
The river my grandparents would walk while they were dating:)
Eric and I walking the River Clyde just like Grammy and Grandpa did!!

Glasgow Cathedral. The story is that my grandpa was saved by the holy water from this church. :)
800 years old..So cool!
The cemetary where some of my family is barried
The street that my grandpa lived on when he was younger...So cool:)
Very special..The church that my grandparents got married in!
This was a very wonderful trip. It was so cool because my dad took the time to find all of the cool places that my grandparents went to and all of the places they were. It was so fun to know that they were there once! Scotland is very beautiful and it was so wonderful to share it with Eric. He was so cute and so into it with me making this a very memorable trip. This trip meant alot to us. Yippy for being half Scotish. Gotta love the Scots!!

Love Day!!

Since we are traveling, Eric and I said that we were not going to get anything for each other for Valentine's Day and also you don't need present to show your love for someone...BUT Eric decided to be a sneaky little man and surprise me. I have never "really" been surprised by Eric because I am too nosey and figure it out but this time he really surprised me. He told me to go up to our bed because I left something up there so I go up all excited and I find this on our bed...
..It was this fanta drink that I had been wanting to try, Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream, & a paper. I started reading the paper and I was so confused and had no idea what was going on...
The paper was talking about a Spa...I have NEVER been to a spa before. So I really go spoiled. I had a 1 hour facial, 30 min body scrub and a 1 hour massage...I seriously was in heaven, my skin was sooo soft and my body was feeling great. What a sneaky little guy he is:) And I wrote Eric a nice little note and got him some AMAZING Leonidas chocolate!
Ashley, Paulina, and Me dressed to impress for Valentine's Day!!
I love Valentine's Day because it is a day to put aside the craziness of life and really think about the ones that you LOVE. I am so lucky to have so many amazing people in my life that I love! I am ESPECIALLY grateful for my wonderful husband and for the love we have for one another!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Our first "real life" castle!

Eric and I have been wanting to see a castle ever since we got here and we finally went!! We had a fun little sunday with our friends Posiedon and Dashneet in Dinant, Belgium. It was only a 1.5 hour train ride away. Everything here in Europe is so cool and I feel like I am in a movie all the time!!

The castle is at the top of that mountain..

The town under the castle

It was so cool
Poseidon and Dash
Look..it is a real castle!!
For some reason they had saxaphones on the bridge that represented all the EU countries so I picked the flower one..
And Eric picked the world one
The starting of the stairs...
..And I am already tired.. I was the fatty in the back..haha There was so many steep stairs..very tiring but fun. What would happen if little kids were playing up in the castle and dropped a ball.. they would say, "It is your turn to go get it"..haha. like 500+ stairs..very steep!
We made it to the top!!
Look at that view...
Medieval Models!!
Side view...Over looking EVERYTHING
Don't you think that statue looks like Eric??
Look at that view..AMAZING!!
We had such a wonderful day just going to a castle and we are excited to see more!! Wish you guys were here experiencing this with me..AMAZING:)
Love you all
